Hello! Easy Dog Food Recipies!

Hello! Easy Dog Food Recipies!
By Chris Nesmith

When you choose to make your own dog food, you may just be saving it\'s life. It is a known fact that commercial dog food contains toxins that can be extremely harmful to your dog. Now I am not saying that all of the dog food you see in the store is bad, but wouldn\'t you feel better knowing exactly what your dog was eating?

One of the best ways to help your dog have a long healthy life-span, is by simply controlling what it eats. There are a ton of home made dog food recipes for German Shepherds as well as other dog breeds, that will make your dogs go wild (and keep them feeling their best). These recipes for healthy dog food meals contain all-natural ingredients that are free of preservatives and additives that can be harmful to man\'s best friend.

One of the great home cooked dog food recipes that your dog will absolutely love, is a delicious chicken meal. You will need: 2 chicken thighs or breasts (skinless), 1 stalk celery - sliced, 3 peeled and halved carrots, 2 potatoes that are peeled and cubed, 2 cups uncooked rice and 5-6 cups of water.

Put the chicken into a pot of cold water. Add the celery, carrots and potatoes, and some salt to add some flavor. Let it all simmer for around two hours, or until the chicken becomes tender. Add the rice and let everything cook in low heat for about 30 minutes until the rice absorbs most of the liquid.

Take the pot off of the burner. (Be Careful not to get burned), and take the meat off the chicken bone. When the chicken meat is in the pot, stir until everything is well mixed, and then let it all cool down before serving it to your dog.

Another one of my favorite home made dog food recipes for German Sheperds is a mouth-watering beef mix. The ingredients are really simple. All you need is 2.5 kgs of ground beef (or lamb), brown rice, broccoli stalks and 3 potatoes.

Fry ground beef, in a pan until golden brown. Boil 4-5 cups of water then add the broccoli. Add the potatoes to the frying pan with the beef. Mix everything together in the pot, add pepper and serve with the brown rice.

Don\'t forget the gravy! - literally - Add more flavor to your recipes for healthy dog food with this awesome gravy. The ingredients are: 1 boneless and skinless chicken breast, 4 cups water, a cup of flour and 2 eggs (beaten). Boil the chicken breast for about half an hour, then separate the meat. Add some flour to the chicken broth, use a whisk to remove the lumps. Add the beaten eggs. Cook until the mix is thick. Use a food processor to puree chicken meat, then add to the gravy. Refrigerate.

What meal would be complete without the desert? Make your own dog food frosty treat that will make your dog go bananas! Here are the needed ingredients: 32 oz vanilla yogurt, 2 tbsp. Peanut butter, 1 mashed banana or a jar of baby food (fruit). In home cooked dog food recipes like this, all you have to do is blend everything together, and you get a delectable treat for your furry friend.

These are just a few great recipes you can use to make your own dog food. As you can see, they are hassle-free and you will not have to worry about the health of your dog anymore.
